Valentine's Day...what a perfect day for a wedding. Not too hot and not too cold. Stacy & Bruce were renewed their vows in the small, but beautiful Lake Pines Chapel. It was their 5 year anniversary and Stacy was determined to have her wedding...and she did.

Congratulations Stacy & Bruce!

Your Memory Lane

I feel like I have hit the jackpot! My former bride & current Mary Kay gal, Raquel, came by late last night because I was in desperate need of some Mary Kay skin care.

Well she showed me this AMAZING website and I am in LOVE! It's called Your Memory Lane. Basically it is personalized art. For example, for an anniversary you can personalize it with your memories...vacations, dates, kids, pets, etc. You can choose how many memories and how big you want it. It's hard for me to explain but I URGE you to check out their website. You will instantly NEED one! Not want...NEED!

Take a look at their website!

Thanks for sharing Raquel!!

Wedding Paper Divas...Thermography Collection

Looking for unique wedding invitations? Well the Wedding Paper Divas have just introduced their Thermography Collection! Here is a small tidbit about the new design:

Printed by renowned fine stationer William Arthur, the Thermography Collection features exclusive Wedding Paper Divas designs that leap off the printed page with chic and captivating style. By heating traditional wet ink with a powder compound, William Arthur creates beautiful wedding invitations with printing that rises off the paper to simulate the refined look of engraving.

Make sure to check them out!

Seriously...why is all this cool stuff for weddings invented AFTER I get married!

SolKel Jewelry- Custom Photo Jewelry

I wanted to introduce you all to SolKel Jewelry. SolKel Jewelry is owned by Solomon Victory, who happens to be one of my husband's good friends.

SolKel creates custom jewelry by engraving images onto pendant, not using color images. This basically means it lasts longer and is much better quality than what you sometimes find in the mall.

I think his jewelry is perfect for wedding gifts and especially for those who have lost someone close, but they want them as part of the wedding. He can create a pendant with the image of your loved one that you can either wear, or you can even attach to your bouquet.

SolKel will be at the Bridal Show this Sunday so be sure to stop by his booth & check him out!

And P.S....it isn't necessarily just for weddings. You can have images of children, your spouse, a pet, medical info, text, etc.

Check out his website! The prices are amazingly reasonable! :)

MPC Photography makes the front page of the Ledger-Enquirer

Well not necessarily MPC Photography, but my photo of Melissa & Michael. The Ledger did a story on them since they are going to be on weTV's series "Bridezillas."

About a week or two ago the Ledger contacted me about reaching Melissa. I didn't even know when the article was going to appear. So when I wake up Saturday to a text from my brother that says "Dude, your picture is on the front page of the paper." I was like HUH?

So I immediately logged into the Ledger's website to find out what's going on. And there was the article! :)

2009 Wedding Trends

I stumbled across this article on the Knot. Many of you may already be familiar with this fabulous website. It's the ultimate online resource guide for brides nationwide!

The article is titled- "Wedding Style: 9 New Wedding Trends for 2009".

My favorite item was the 2 tiered wedding cake. They suggested using them as centerpieces instead of flowers! I think that is fabulous! Imagine walking into the reception and being welcomed by the smell of fresh wedding cake! YUMMY! And it certainly is unique!

Not sure what the cost would be, but if you put your original floral budget toward this it might work out! And they could triple as a reception favor because you could provide little boxes so guests could take a piece home! Helllooo! Why didn't I think of that!

Here's what the article said: "While cupcakes and dessert bars have been popular for the past few years, wedding cakes are making a comeback -- but not in tall towers anymore. Now it's all about having just two tiers. Order several small cakes and put them on each table as a centerpiece, or set up a table of tiny wedding cakes mixed with desserts, cookies, pies, and more. And vintage cake toppers are in too. Find one online at a site like Etsy.com, commission one from a local artist, or borrow your parents' or grandparents' to make your cake extra-memorable."

My second favorite idea on the trend list was the "updated photo booth."
This is what the article said "Renting a photo booth has been growing in popularity over the past few years. The updated version? Entire photo sets with fabric backdrops and props. Set up a photo area at the reception that's big enough for a group shot. Drape the background with fabric and add couches, chairs, and plenty of props (think easy-to-throw-on hats and scarves). You may be able to have your photographer or an assistant man the station, or ask a trusty friend to be on hand with a digital camera."

Tasha! You may have to reconsider! :)

Miller Family {Portraits}

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting the Miller Family! I drove to their home in Ft Benning and started setting up & I realized...I forgot my backdrop! Helllooo! Thankfully my sweet husband drove all the way out to Ft Benning to bring it to me! *whew* Thanks Keith!

We got started and Megan had the cutest little dress for Sadie...who is only 10 weeks old! (well 11 now). Megan & Michael's first child though, their Italian Greyhound "Tank" didn't seem to care for the camera. I think he was a bit jealous of all the attention given to Sadie. Tank wrapped himself up in a blanket on the couch and preferred to stay put! lol

Anyways, here are some of my favs!
I don't think she enjoyed all the kisses!
Such intense eyes!

Yes, she has a natural mohawk!!

Look at those cute little feet!!

Isn't this precious!!

Happy Birthday Keith!

Keith is officially 29...his last year in his 20's! We celebrated by having a dinner last night at Fuji's Japanese Steakhouse with about 25 friends! I love Hibachi Chefs, they're so fun! :)

Afterwards we all headed back to our house for a UFC fight party...well the guys watched that while all the girls chatted in the dining room about babies, pets, shopping, life, etc...you know, typical girl stuff. lol!

Thanks to everyone who came and to those who traveled from out of town to help Keith celebrate! We couldn't wish for a better circle of friends!

Here is a slideshow of some pictures from last night!

P.S. I also went to Bliss Salon Saturday to have Matt do my hair Saturday. Matt is Dana's father...from the Samantha & Dana wedding. (And I wanted to add an update to that blog. Matt actually did ALL the women's hair in the wedding & make-up!!)
Anyways, ladies if you are looking for a new hairstylist or need someone to do your hair for your wedding, I highly recommend you go see Matt. His work is aaaaammmaaazing! :)

Happy Superbowl Sunday!
