Cake Anyone?

I am sorry for neglecting the blog! I have been so swamped with weddings, bookings, meetings, etc. But that's a good thing right?

Well I wanted to take the time out to at least update you all with that, but to also re-blog about my friend Iris of Funky Monkey Cakes! She didn't ask me to blog about her but I just wanted to do some bragging about her work!

Iris has redesigned her website, started a blog, and has been baking away! If you have a chance check out her blog for some of her recent work! Be sure to leave some love and comment on her blog!

If you are looking for a wedding cake or speciality cake, Iris is the woman for the job! I am confident in saying no job is too big for FMC!

Iisahia & Jacque {Wedding}

A few weekends ago Beverly, Anna, & myself hopped in a rental car and headed to Savannah. That Saturday we headed to Tybee Island for Iisahia & Jacque's beach wedding. It was my first, and I hope not my last, beach wedding. The weather was warm but the breeze from the ocean was perfect! With the ocean as your backdrop you can't go wrong!

Iisahia & Jacque have been waiting for this day for a while. The wedding was supposed to be last year but thanks to a certain hurricane, we had to reschedule! So when they finally exchanged their vows & said their I do's, everyone was ecstatic!

It was an intimate ceremony & reception with just their closest friends and family. Jacque made their huge wedding cake which was delicious! They danced the night away and their love for each other was undeniable!

Iisahia & Jaque, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day!

Katrina & Nick {Wedding}

It was the hottest day this year... but on June 20th Katrina & Nick said "I DO" in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Rankin Gardens and Atrium, in downtown Columbus. It was hard not to notice their love for each other...as well as their love for UGA with all the red & black, the UGA cake, the UGA vest, and the UGA cake topper!

Katrina was absolutely stunning! I LOVED her dress, which had very intricate detailing all over. Nick's vest was awesome and I didn't even though they made "team" formal wear!

It was a beautiful ceremony and I want to thank you both for allowing MPC Photography to be there to capture these memories for you!

Wedding Tip...Candy Bars

I am LOVING the candy bar trend at weddings in the last 2 years. I haven't personally photographed any, but as mentioned before, I am an avid blog reader/follower...so I have seen sooo many photographers highlighting these fabulous candy bars.

Well last night I was watching a wedding show and the couple did the cutest candy bar & they had it double as reception favors. They set out a table full of various styles & sizes of jars & trays and filled it with candies & deserts that matched their wedding colors.

They had pink m&m's, pink cupcakes, pink lollipops, pink gummy bears, etc. You name it, they had it. They set out little gift bags and scoops for guests to fill their own bags with before they left. The bags were personalized with their names & wedding date as well.

I think this is just a great idea, especially since it serves several purposes...decor, treats, & favors? I want to throw a party just so I can have a candy bar! LOL!

Callie & Spencer {Wedding}

Callie & Spencer are two of the nicest people I've ever met! They are truly genuine and their love for each other is no secret. As Callie was walked down the aisle by her father at Lake Pines, Spencer's eyes were locked on his gorgeous wife to be.

In a sweet ceremony they exchanged vows, lit their unity candle, and shared their first kiss as husband & wife! Callie was overwhelmed with emotions and the tears were just flowing. She was so happy to be Mrs. Welch!
