Fabulous Shoes: ShoeDazzle

This is just a random post for you shoe lovers out there. I joined a website called ShoeDazzle which is basically a personal shoe stylist website, owned by Kim Kardashian.

When you sign up, you answer some questions about YOUR style. Then each month, the shoe experts will send you 5 choices of shoes. You can choose to purchase ONE pair. The price never changes, it's always $39- with free s&h. If you don't like any of the 5, you can ask for 5 more. And if you don't like any of those, you do nothing and you won't be charged.

Make sure you read through the FAQs before signing up! There is a lot of helpful info there.

It is AMAZING. I am a shoe lover so this is wonderful for me!

Here is an image from my shoe picks for August...

Cute huh!?

Coming soon...Mya & Haven's after session, Tricia & Gary's wedding, Keri & Shane's engagement session, & Connie's family session!

Broadcast Your Wedding...Live!

I came across the coolest site & had to share this with you all! If you are planning your wedding you know how hard it is to pick a date that EVERYONE is happy with. Many people have conflicts with work schedules, vacation times, and traveling can get expensive. So unfortunately, there may a group of people that you really want at your wedding, but for one reason or another, it's just not gonna happen.

Well...now they can watch your wedding & reception LIVE! Don't ya just love technology? There is a company called Live Wedding Broadcast and I do Stream that can broadcast your event LIVE! How awesome!

It's best to have a videographer, but you can do-it-yourself with the proper equipment!

Tasha & John {Wedding}

*Warning, long blog alert...grab a cup of coffee & enjoy*

I am soooo happy to finally be able to present Tasha & John's wedding images. All my brides are fabulous but Tasha has to be one of the sweetest bride's and John one of the most laid back groom's I've ever worked with!

Tasha is just an all around positive, happy, & supportive person. She is my #1 blog commenter (and I can't thank you enough for that because I am happy to know at least someone is reading all my blogs!)

And I must brag on her a little bit more...I think she has a career in the wedding industry as her wedding had so many wonderful details. From the matches, to the koozies, to the napkins, to the little cards for the cups...which is why I had to do a blog board of images of JUST the details alone! There were just that many!

Tasha & John's colors were various hues of blue and with the help of Kim Nelson Floral Designs & Reception Decor, the Trade Center was GORGEOUS!! Kim created the most beautiful orchids! No, they are NOT fake! Fran Papenfuss created the cutest cupcake cake and Tasha made all the little signs for them that read "Yum", "Delish", & "Sweet".

And if that isn't enough Tasha hand stamped every napkin with the cutest design...a wedding couple with a parachute that read "ARMY", a nod to John's profession! I LOVE IT!!

Another FABULOUS idea was Polaroid pictures during cocktail hour! Tasha's mom picked up several cartridges of Polaroid film for this...don't ask me how she did it! This worked out perfect because while I took all the formal shots after the reception, Beverly took all the Polaroid pictures. Each guest was then instructed to place the picture in a separate album just for the Polaroids and sign the page with well wishes for the couple!

Poor Bev...keep in mind it's been YEARS since either of us have used a Polaroid, so trying to go from a SLR camera to a Polaroid was a bit of an adjustment. We laughed so hard trying to figure out how to insert the cartridge of film and how to even take the darn pictures! The pictures, and the album, came out GREAT! So sweet!

The reception...John's nephew aka mini Michael Jackson was AH-MAZ-ING on the dance floor. We were definitely entertained ALL NIGHT! Um, he could be on America's Best Dance Crew...by himself! Seriously.

Scott Sabulsky of Disc Drive Mobile DJs did an EXCELLENT job keeping everyone dancing! He got EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE up dancing! I especially loved the conga line...I wanted to join in it looked so fun!

Seriously...I could turn this blog into a full blown essay, but I will let the pictures & slideshow speak for themselves!

Congratulations Tasha & John! It was a wonderful wedding & I am extremely blessed to have met you both.
I wish you the best!

SOME of the many details!

Operation: Love Reunited

I am SOOO happy to announce that MPC Photography is now a part of
Operation: Love Reunited!

They are an awesome non-profit organization. It is a national group of professional photographers that have joined together to offer our military men & women who are either deployed, about to be deployed, or returning from deployment a FREE patriotic photo session! We also provide a FREE 4x6 album of select images.

It is just a small way of saying THANK YOU to all the military men & women and their families, for what they so bravely do for us.

I will be serving Ft.Benning of course, but if you are not in the area and you are interested or know someone who might be, please click HERE to locate a participating photographer in your area.

The sessions themselves may be photographed at various locations...a home, a park, or even in the actual hanger as your soldier is returning home! As long as it has a "patriotic edge"!

I also want to encourage the other 50+ photographers in the Columbus/Phenix City area to consider joining this wonderful organization. There are thousands of soldiers in Ft . Benning and they are coming & going so much and I know I won't be able to photograph them all myself. So please show your support & join!

I have to thank Stacie from Time to Remember for telling me about this wonderful opportunity!

Bekkah & Steve {Wedding}

Bekkah & Steve become one...one month ago today! They exchanged vows at the beautiful St Paul United Methodist Church and the reception was at CSU's Elizabeth Bradley Turner Center.

After exchanging vows, and after all the pictures were taken, we headed to CSU for a fabulous reception. Bekkah & Steve were inseparable and they, along with their family and friends, danced and danced and danced!

They had a bubble exit, complete with Mickey Mouse ears as they honeymooned at the happiest place on Earth...Disney World of course!

Bekkah & Steve, I am so happy for you both and I thank you for allowing me to photograph your special day! Best Wishes!

I have a lot of favorites from their day so it was hard to choose which ones to highlight. Bekkah & Steve were GREAT with posing for me and I really got a lot of new favorite shots from their wedding!!

Bekkah was rocking her inner super model in the top photo!! I LOVE IT!!!
And I am SOOO loving the wedding party shot!

Everlean & Brandon {Wedding}

On the 4th of July Everlean & Brandon exchanged vows at Infantry Chapel in Ft. Benning, GA! If you keep up with my blog, you know I love this chapel because Keith & I were married there in Nov 2004!

Everlean & Brandon's reception was the new Infantry Museum which was beautifully decorated with their pink & brown color scheme! Their first dance was interesting as they started out with a traditional slow romatic song and then busted out into several different songs & dances! It was hilarious!

They honeymooned in Jamaica and safley returned home to start their life as husband and wife!

Congrats to you both & I wish you the best!

I absolutley LOVE the colors in their outdoor images!! Photobucket

And in honor of Michael Jackson, both the guys & girls did their best MJ pose! Who do you think did better? Photobucket

Tricia {Bridal}

It seems so long ago (May 17th to be exact) that I shot Tricia's bridal session at the Garrett Bullock House. Of course I couldn't blog about it...just in case Gary took a sneak peek! But, I shot their wedding this past Saturday so I am finally in the clear to show you!

Tricia was a beautiful...no make that STUNNING! She is an Auburn University alumni, so what better way to pay tribute to your alma mater than to use their infamous school colors of blue and orange? Here are some of my favs from her bridal session and I can't wait to show you their wedding images soon....

Nicole & Ryan {Engagement}

On a very hot Sunday in June, I met Nicole & Ryan in beautiful Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA to shoot their engagement session. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful Southern city. With spanish moss hanging from the trees and the historic landmarks at every turn, Savannah was a perfect choice for Nicole & Ryan!

We started at Forsyth Park and made our way to River Street...which if you haven't been to Savannah, it's THE main place to be. Businesses & vendors line the river front, cobble stone streets and people are everywhere.

Here are a few of my favs from their engagement session:
